Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night. ~ Poe
We moved our clocks back an hour.
It's a change I never minded - that whole "extra hour of sleep" and such. I'm all for an extra hour of sleep.
Some complain that there's less sunshine, but I think they're looking at it wrong.
Don't misunderstand me, by nature I'm not an optimist. I'd like to say I'm a realist, but some have called me a pessimist. Here's where I throw people.
I love the sun. Summer is one of my favorite seasons. If I could (let's pretend), I would wake up late, roll out of bed and then lounge in the sun with a good book. I'd soak up the rays and recharge my mental/physical batteries and then stay up all night long because that's when I come alive. I'd have the late night gatherings with friends until the sun came up, maybe finish writing my book, and then I'd do it all over again.
This would be my heaven.
On the other hand, I do look forward to the longer nights of winter. I love a good night snow. I don't even mind the cold. I love to snuggle down in my winter blankets and sleep in. I would stumble to the kitchen for coffee and then to the living room to read by the fire. Later I'd have the late night gatherings with friends until the sun came up, maybe finish writing my book, and then I'd do it all over again.
This would be my heaven.
Apparently I don't work in heaven.
I'm lucky. I don't suffer from that lack of sunlight depression. Sometimes my days aren't long enough for me to do all the nothing I want to do because I love the sunshine and I love the night.
